幸せの青い鳥を見つけたと思って小躍りしている様子を表現しています。

しかし、そんなものは存在するはずもなく、最後は羽だけが残っていたという残酷な現実をラストにもってきました。

最後の和音がいい感じ。

It expresses the scene of a bird leaping with joy at the thought that it has found the blue bird of happiness.

However, such a thing could not exist, and the cruel reality that only the feathers remained in the end was brought to the end.

The final chord is a nice touch.

1st ALBUM「BESIDE」のオープニング曲。

謎めいたアーティストがスモークの中から登場するイメージ。

主旋律のミステリアスな雰囲気と、単純ながらも迫力のある左手の伴奏がマッチしていてエモい。

The image is that of a mysterious artist appearing out of the smoke.

The mysterious atmosphere of the main melody and the simple but powerful left hand accompaniment match each other and are emotional.

この曲は夢から覚めたらできていました。

降りてくる、というのは本当にあるのだと教えてくれた曲。

AIロボットの人類への反逆と次の世紀を描いています。

起きたらピアノが弾けていたのでメモも何もありません。

逆にいうと、もう弾けません。

This music was made when I woke up from a dream.

It taught me that coming down is a real thing.

It describes the rebellion of AI robots against humanity and the next century.

When I woke up, I could play the piano, so I have no notes or anything.

On the contrary, I can't play it anymore.

二度と戻れない過去に思いを巡らせながら、雨の中で佇む人の心情を描いた曲。

もともとLo-fi hiphopの雨音が入った感じの曲が大好きなので、本物の雨音を入れて作りました。

This piece depicts the feelings of a person standing in the rain, thinking about the past that can never come back.

I have always loved Lo-fi hiphop music with the feel of rain sounds, so I created this piece with real rain sounds.

桜の開花が例年より遅れたので、「いま桜はどんな気持ちかな？」と思って作りました。

ほぼ即興に近い感じで作った曲なので、すでにメモが手元に残っておらず、もう弾けません。

結構気に入っている曲なので、それだけが残念。

ちゃんとメモして残しておかないと、という教訓を得ました。

Since the cherry blossoms bloomed later than usual, I wondered how the cherry trees were feeling now.

Since I wrote this piece almost as an improvisation, I don't have my notes with me, so I can't play it anymore.

It's a pity, because I like this piece a lot.

I learned a lesson that I need to write it down and keep it with me.

人生初の作曲は、この曲でした。

いろいろと書き換えてようやくできた難産の末の曲です。

折しも坂本教授が亡くなった後で、教授への追悼曲として作りました。

This was the first piece I composed in my life.

It was a difficult piece of music that was finally completed after various rewrites.

I composed it as a memorial to "Professor" Ryuichi Sakamoto after he passed away.

1st ALBUM 「BESIDE」の2曲目に収録。3rd ALBUM 「風雅 -FUGA-」にもトリオ・バージョンとして収録しています。

この曲は1時間足らずで出来ました。主旋律がとても穏やかで美しいと自負しています。

コンセプトは、猫と蝶がじゃれ合いながら、いつしかお互いの心が一つになるという友情モノ。

「猫ふんじゃった」はどの音か分かりませんが、一部オマージュしているのが分かりますか？

It is the second piece on the 1st ALBUM “BESIDE” and is also included as a trio version on the 3rd ALBUM “FUGA”.

This piece was done in less than an hour. I am proud that the main melody is very calm and beautiful.

The concept of this piece is a friendship between a cat and a butterfly, who play with each other, and eventually become one in their hearts.

I am not sure which sound “Nekofunjatta” is, but can you tell that it is a partial homage?

親しくしている新婚のお二人の輝かしい未来をお祝いするために作曲。

赤坂のピアノバーで、お二人の前で下手ながらも頑張って演奏しました。

4th ALBUM「WILL」のバージョンでは、さらに洗練された曲に仕上げました。

I made this to celebrate the bright future of two newlyweds who are close friends of mine.

I did my best to perform it in front of the couple at a piano bar in Akasaka, even though I was not very good at it.

The version on the 4th ALBUM “WILL” is a more refined version of this piece.

子守歌を作ってみようと思い、できた曲。

特筆すべきものは特にないのですが、聴いていると眠くなってくるので良しとします。

I decided to make a lullaby, and this is the music I came up with.

There is nothing special about it, but it is good because it makes me sleepy when I listen to it.

可愛らしいロボット同士に芽生えた友情を描いた曲。

最初はシンセでロボットの声を入れようとしたのですが、うまく操作できず断念。

旋律は美しいはずなのですが、演奏が・・・。そのうち、また録り直します。

This music depicts a budding friendship between two cute robots.

At first I tried to add the robot's voice with a synthesizer, but gave up because I could not control it properly.

The melody should be beautiful, but the performance.... I will re-record it again sometime soon.

「ミ」と「シ」の和音はどこか切ない響きがあって好きです。

この和音を使って哀歌を創ろうと思い、できた曲。

とても気に入っているのですが、メモを紛失してしまい、もう弾けません。

I like the chords of “E” and “B” because they have a somewhat sad sound.

I decided to create a lament using these chords, and the music was created.

I like it very much, but I lost my notes and cannot play it anymore.

異質であることは個性であり、みんな違ってみんないい。

この曲は似たような和音でも微妙に組み合わせを変えたり、異質さをもたらす響きを大切にしました。

といっても、コードや調性の知識は皆無ですが。

In this piece, I valued subtle changes in the combination of similar chords and the resonance that brings about dissimilarity.

However, I have no knowledge of chords or tonality.

わりと速いテンポでカッコいい曲を創りたいと思っていたときに、降りてきた曲。

気づいたら自然に弾いていたので、作曲した感じがありません。

もしDTMができたら、かなりロックな感じにアレンジしてみたい！

自分の中では一番クールな曲。

This music came down to me when I wanted to create a cool music with a rather fast tempo.

I found myself playing it spontaneously, so it doesn't feel like I composed it.

If I could do DTM, I would like to arrange it in a very rocking way!

月の光、というテーマは偉人たちが何度も描いたテーマですが、私も描いてみました。

シンプルなメロディを一定のリズムに乗せて進行するところは、秒針・月光・雲の移ろいをイメージしています。

Moonlight, a theme that the greats have painted many times, and I have painted it too.

The progression of the simple melody to a steady rhythm is inspired by the second hand, moonlight, and the transition of clouds.

栄枯盛衰を経ながら発展してきたこの国の素晴らしさを表現しています。

栄耀という漢字も言葉の響きも、とても美しいと感じます。

It expresses the splendor of this country that has developed through rise and fall.

I find both the kanji character for “prosperity” and the sound of the word very beautiful.

架空の尺八奏者・忍野謙蔵氏とのコラボ作品。

シンプルな旋律の裏でインダストリアル音を鳴らし、どこか無機質なリズムで寂寥感を演出しています。

ほぼ一発録りですが、なかなか風情のある曲に仕上がりました。

A collaborative work with the fictional shakuhachi player Kenzo Oshino.

Industrial sounds are played behind the simple melody, and a somewhat inorganic rhythm creates a sense of desolation.

It was almost a one-shot recording, but it turned out to be quite a tasteful piece.

高嶺の花に憧れて、結局は裏切られるイメージの曲。

主旋律は一瞬でできたのですが、全体としては仕上げまで時間がかかりました。

美しい薔薇の棘に打ちのめされながら、やがて心が折れていく感じを表現しています。

This music is about the image of longing for a high peak and eventually being betrayed.

The main melody was created in an instant, but the whole piece took a long time to finish.

It expresses the feeling of a beautiful rose being struck down by thorns and eventually breaking down.

美しくも儚く世を去って行った江戸時代の花魁の人生に思いを馳せて作った曲。

TVドラマ「JIN -仁-」をAmazonプライムで観ていたときに、花魁の野風(中谷美紀さん)の生き様からインスピレーションを得ました。

あっという間にできた曲で、いわゆる「降りてきた」感覚があります。

これが何長調なのか分かりませんが、どこか儚さがあって好きです。

I wrote this piece thinking about the lives of oiran (courtesans) in the Edo period who left the world in a beautiful but fleeting way.

I was inspired by the life of "Nokaze (Miki Nakatani)", a prostitute, when I was watching the Japanese TV drama “JIN ” on Amazon Prime.

This piece was created very quickly and has a so-called “come down” feeling.

I don't know what major this is, but I like it because it is somewhat fragile.

ピアノを弾いていると、結局は「次はどの鍵盤を押すのか」だけだと気付きます。

どんな高尚めいた音楽理論を持ち出そうとその事実は全く変わらず、結局、次はどの鍵盤を押すのか、本当にただそれだけです。

しかしその連続した打鍵の結果として、ひとつの世界観が現れる。これって本当に凄いことだと思います。

私は音楽とはコンポーザーのWILLである、と考えています。

そのWILLを感じてください。

When you play the piano, you realize that in the end it is just “which key will you press next?"

No matter what lofty musical theory you come up with, that fact remains unchanged, and in the end, it is really just a matter of which key you will press next.

However, as a result of these successive keystrokes, a world view emerges. I think this is truly amazing.

主人公はルシファー。どこまでも堕ちていく様子を描きました。

爆撃音を入れることで荒廃する大地を表現しています。

やり直しなしの、一発録りです。

The main character is Lucifer. I depicted how far he has fallen.

The sound of bombs was added to express the devastation of the earth.

This was a one-shot recording with no reworking.

「Less is more」はバウハウスの伝統的な教えですが、これを意識して作ったのがこの曲です。

無駄な音を排して、とにかくシンプルに。

その名もそのまま、minimal。

"Less is more” is a traditional teaching of Bauhaus, and I created this piece with this in mind.

I eliminated unnecessary sounds and kept it simple.

The name of the music is “minimal” as it is.

古今東西、たくさんのエチュードがあるわけですが、自分なりのものを作りました。

こういうシンプルながらもエモい曲調が好みです。

環境音を入れることで、浜辺でピアノを弾いているイメージを付加しています。

There are many etudes, ancient and modern, but I created my own.

I prefer this kind of simple but emotional tune.

By adding environmental sounds, I added the image of playing piano on the beach.

5th ALBUM 「WILL」のエンディングを飾る曲です。

自分のフューネラル・プレイリストの中でもラストの曲を想定して創りました。

もはやこの曲を創るためにピアノを始めたのではないか、と思えるくらい一番のお気に入りです。

This music is the closing track of the 5th ALBUM “WILL”.

I created this music as the last one in my funeral playlist.

I like it so much that I think I started playing the piano to create this piece.

天使たちが戯れるときの音楽、というテーマで作りました。

左手は一定のリズムを刻んでいますが、これができた瞬間に旋律はすべて決まりました。

なんともいえない神聖さを醸し出す曲となり、曲名もそのまま、「divine」にしました。

The theme of this piece was music for angels playing.

The left hand is in a constant rhythm, and the melody was all set the moment this was created.

This piece has an indescribably sacred feel to it, and I named it "divine" as it is.

2,3分くらいであっという間にできた曲。

しかし、手抜きでもなくきちんとイメージを表現できたかなと思います。

本当にnobleな曲。

This piece was completed in a matter of a couple of minutes.

However, I think I was able to express the image properly without cutting corners.

It really is a noble.

巨人に踏み潰されるという、どこまでも暗い曲。

A slightly rearranged version of “lost” from the 1st ALBUM “BESIDE” with an interlude.

The music is about being trampled by a giant, and is dark in every way.

原曲はveilのままですが、間奏部分を付け加えました。

ミステリアスな中にも明るさが加わっています。

The original music is still "veil", but I added an interlude.

The mysteriousness and brightness are added.

仕事中にちょうどブルーアワーの空を見ていて、頭の中でこの曲が流れました。

一日の終わりにちょうど良いテンポの曲です。

I was just looking at the blue hour sky at work and this music played in my head.

The music has just the right tempo at the end of the day.

昼下がりにうとうとしながら聴きたい曲。

少し物憂げながらも綺麗な旋律が生まれました。

A music to listen to while dozing off in the late afternoon.

A beautiful melody, though a little melancholy, was created.

明けない夜はない、といいますが、人生の最期だけは例外です。

その永遠に明けない夜を「ever dark」という曲名に込めました。

It is said that there is no night that will never dawn, but the last days of life are an exception.

I named the music “ever dark” after that eternal night.

美しい都会の夜景の裏側では、毎日無数の涙が流れている。

優しくも切ないこの曲がその涙の救いとなりますように。

Behind the beautiful nightscape of the city, countless tears are shed every day.

May this gentle yet sad music be a relief for those tears.

自分の生まれ故郷に思いを馳せて、のどかな田園風景を曲にしてみました。

シンセで環境音を鳴らしていますが、虫の音はやっぱりいいなと思います。

Thinking back to my birthplace, I composed this piece about a peaceful rural landscape.

I used a synthesizer to play environmental sounds, but I still think the sound of insects is nice.
